All About Tents and Camping

As an avid camper/backpacker, you enjoy hiking into dense forest and setting up a crude camp. The camping trip is for 2 weeks and so you will need a stack of firewood. But by doing this, you are encouraging snakes to come live close by. What can you do to keep snakes away from your camp?

My dog made her own back door on my high dollar tent. the hole is about 2 ft tall and 1 foot across on bottom at seam where it meets the plastic that sits under the tent. I’m not worried about how it’s gonna look, just need the tent to do it’s job by keeping water and bugs out. I was gonna use rubber cement and part of an old tent and just glue it shut. But if anyone has a better idea im all ears.

There used to be a tent there ,but now it’s faded and gone. Now its just blurry and annoying, and it makes it hard for me to see when im backing up. When i try to peel it, only little pieces come off. Is there a way to take it off?

We also take are 4 and 3 year old boys, and besides the two of them I am the only one other then my dad that enjoys camping.

I have a sport backpack, which is not designed for hiking.

I am trying to figure out how I can carry my tent on my backpack and how to get a sleeping bag attached to my back too.

Can I use straps or bungee cords? Do I need to buy a special backpack for all of this? I can’t find anything on this on the internet.

I have to bring both the tent and the sleeping bag or I will freeze in October.
